Hi, I’m Dr. Nancy
I’m a licensed psychologist (TX #38190) seeing patients virtually across 42 states through PSYPACT (26178). My work is grounded in research-backed interventions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). The best part of my workday is seeing my patients overcome their fears and live a life that’s meaningful to them. My training and research focused on helping people overcome anxiety and medical stress. I trained in an Anxiety Disorders Specialty Clinic at Baylor University from 2013-2017, publishing research on worry and Health Anxiety, as well as helping patients overcome struggles with GAD, OCD, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, and PTSD. I then trained in the Veteran Affairs hospital system, completing an internship in Medical Psychology and post-doctoral fellowship in Health/Rehab Psychology. During this training, I helped adults navigate some of the hardest medical challenges of their lives. My training has been remarkably rewarding, and I hope to pass along these tools to you, so that you can become your own psychologist.
I show up as both
a human and therapist
at Embrace Now
I believe each person holds a deep inner wisdom—a steady compass—that can become hidden beneath anxiety, stress, or self-doubt, and our work together is about gently uncovering it so you can find your way back to yourself. You will not find judgment in the room with me, just curiosity about what is working and what is not. I’ll bring deep respect and clear direction, holding you accountable to help you create meaningful, lasting change. Most importantly, we’ll stay grounded in what matters most to you, so every step forward feels true to your values.
Outside of the therapy room, you’ll find me at the park with my two toddlers, walking my 13-year-old shelter dog, or trying new restaurants with my husband. My friends have nicknamed me the “hopeless optimist”, which pretty much sums up my approach to life. Let’s work together and grow the optimism
